Van Diemens Analogue Audio Disruptors are located in beautiful Tasmania, the island at the very southern end of Australia. Our studio is based in Dodges Ferry on the southeast coast. It is one of the most scenic coastlines in Australia. It's a great place to live and a great inspiration I can assure you.

Van Diemens Analogue Audio Disruptors came into existence at the end of 2021. Like many of us, the 2 years or so leading up to this period saw a lot of changes in our lives. Working from home, changes in employment status, and other factors have led many of us to seek new ways to create and expand our lives.

For me, it was the perfect opportunity to play with and work on one of my great musical loves, effect pedals. I have always enjoyed all forms of guitar effects, however, my love for vintage tones, especially vintage fuzz and treble boosters saw me try my hand at building a couple. The bug bit, and well here we are.

The Fuzz, Trebleboosters and Boost pedals we create are all named after unique Tasmanian icons such as the Thylacine, the family Dasyuridae (the Dasy), the Tarkine rainforest and Red Ochre Beach. The latter being a beach in my own backyard. Ok, well that last one is rather iconic to me.

Living in this beautiful part of the world makes one appreciate the fragility of our environment. With that in mind, Van Diemens Analogue Audio Disruptors works hard to produce as small a footprint as we can. We recycle as many electronic components as possible, be they NOS or reclaimed components. Our packaging is produced from 100% recycled materials and all inks used in the printing are 100% environmentally friendly.

This is something we are very passionate about, the preservation of our planet. We hope you all join us and embrace this fundamentally important task, as the longer we are here, the longer we can all enjoy playing our Fuzz.

The name Van Diemens comes from Tasmania's earliest beginnings. In the mid 1600's, Dutch East Indies Governor-General Anthony Van Diemen sent explorer Abel Tasman on his great journey of discovery. Tasman was the first known European to step foot on the shores of what is now called Tasmania and in doing so, named the island in his patrons honor

Van Diemen's Land.

In 1856, the island's name was changed to Tasmania in honour of Able Tasman.

I hope you will all follow me on this journey as I grow and expand on this range, for now though, I am going to stick with what is working for me. I will be adding more to the stable as time goes on, but whatever those pedals happen to be, rest assured they will be analogue and they will disrupt your audio.
